Courage needs confidence
Many times we feel insecure and don’t know why. Sicher im Kiez! encourages children to trust their own judgement and to articulate their opinions or worries. Children who learn to set boundaries are able protect themselves and their environment – this is the main idea of Sicher im Kiez!.

Identify – Understand – Change
The first step leading to more security is to make children aware of their rights in public places. This enables them to recognize problems and conflicts and to react competently. Children who know their strength have courage and accept responsibility for themselves and others.
